Membership at West Byfleet Golf Club

West Byfleet Golf Club offers a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment with strong membership sections for Seniors, Ladies, Intermediates, Juniors and lower handicap golfers.

As a member of the Women in Golf Charter, the club is committed to inclusivity, actively supporting women’s golf, and our Woodpecker Academy and Girls Golf Rocks programmes are a big part of our success in developing a strong membership of under-18’s.

A busy club with an active competition and social calendar throughout the year, we welcome new members, and we offer a range of both 5 and 7-day memberships.

Please note that the club is currently at full membership with a waitlist of approximately two years for adult categories.

The current rates in force can be found below, and candidates are encouraged to observe the “Role of Proposer & Seconder” document before filling out an Application Form. In cases where a suitable candidate does not already have a willing Proposer/Seconder, we can assist in the process.

Ladies Membership

The Ladies’ Section, with around 100 members, plays an integral role at West Byfleet. With competitions on Thursdays and weekends, a busy social calendar, and participation in Surrey leagues, it provides a vibrant community for golfers of all levels. 

The Ladies’ Committee, which has representation on the club’s board, ensures inclusive, varied events throughout the year, and we are proud to have been award the Women’s in Golf Charter in 2023. .

Junior Membership

Our Junior section, part of the Surrey junior leagues, provides young players with exciting competitions, including the Christies Cup and the Junior Club Championships. The Junior Woodpecker Academy, for ages 9-15, offers an affordable 18-week program each year to introduce children to the game and guide them into junior membership.

Seniors

Known as “The BOBS” (Byfleet Old Boys), our Seniors enjoy a full calendar of matches, including friendly and league competitions, social gatherings, and the popular McNeil Salvers winter league. The BOBS is open to club members over 60 and offers a supportive, sociable golfing environment.
