2026 Captain’s Charity
Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey is an inclusive organisation dedicated to enabling and empowering people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind.
We champion independence, where people thrive in their communities and achieve their aspirations. We offer expert support, services, and advice across Surrey, delivering our services in homes, communities, and from our main office hub in Esher.
At the heart of our mission lies a deep commitment to equality. We advocate for accessibility and inclusion, to ensure that people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind can lead full and independent lives.
We were founded in 1922 to help returning soldiers from the wars to re-integrate into society, this has been carried on to modern Surrey life, and we currently support over 8,000 people in Surrey of which 750 of those live in the Woking area.
